**JOB DESCRIPTION**
In the role of Traffic Planner, you will, for example:
• Investigate and develop strategic documents within the traffic area.
• Collaborate with other departments and authorities to ensure coordinated and effective traffic solutions.
• Present analyses and plans clearly and pedagogically.
• Participate in the planning and development of new traffic projects.
• Initiate and drive dialogue with external parties such as the Region and the Swedish Transport Administration.
• Project manage and coordinate infrastructure projects.
• Conduct studies related to mobility and parking.
• Assess and propose street design in community development projects.
• Coordinate the municipality's public transport issues.
The work covers a wide range of traffic issues, and you will closely collaborate with driven and knowledgeable colleagues within the Property Department, such as land and development engineers, urban planners, building permit officers, project managers, and more. The tasks will vary depending on current projects and incoming cases.
**Who are you?**
We are looking for a driven, creative individual with a passion for traffic issues. You have an academic degree in a relevant field, such as urban planning or civil engineering. You have experience working with traffic issues and a good understanding of traffic systems and solutions.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
You need to have a university education of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS), preferably with a focus on traffic engineering, road and water engineering, or urban planning. Alternatively, you have other education combined with relevant professional experience in traffic issues.
The position requires you to have:
• At least 5 years of professional experience in traffic planning.
• Good knowledge of street and road design.
• Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have worked with digital tools such as CAD to model and visualize traffic solutions and if you have been involved in detailed planning processes.
As a traffic planner with us, you need to be motivated and capable of working both independently and in a team. You should be good at planning, structuring, and have the ability to drive your work forward with a solution-focused approach.
Since the role of traffic planner may involve reprioritization and variation in your work content, you should enjoy adapting your work when such a need arises. With many points of contact in the role of traffic planner, it is important that you are good at building relationships, are an effective communicator, and possess strong collaboration skills.
