In the transport department, we have 26 employees who together are responsible for the delivery and transportation of the region's goods such as consumables, waste, food, and samples. We are also responsible for the region's vehicles, relocations, and the maintenance of green areas in the Sigfrid area and at the Central Hospital in Växjö.
We are now seeking an employee for external green space maintenance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated gardener/groundskeeper to maintain and further develop the green areas on our hospital grounds. You will play an important role in our efforts to create a pleasant, health-promoting environment for patients, staff, and visitors at our hospital facilities.
Together with your colleagues, you will plan and shape flower beds and green areas, and participate in the procurement of plants, etc. Your duties will include daily maintenance and upkeep of parks and green spaces. Common tasks include lawn mowing, hedge trimming, litter picking, weed removal, tree care and conservation, as well as caring for perennials and annuals.
During the winter months, snow removal and ice prevention work will be common. Since we advocate for job rotation, you may be assigned other tasks within the department's area of responsibility besides park maintenance if the need arises.
Our close cooperation with healthcare means that patient supervision is also part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a passion for parks and green areas who is a trained gardener or possesses equivalent relevant knowledge in the field. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working with park areas in a public environment.
To thrive with us, you need to be self-motivated and driven, and not shy about getting hands-on.
A B driver's license for manual transmission is required.
In addition to your personal suitability, significant emphasis will be placed on your knowledge and experience of machinery such as brush cutters, chainsaws, trimmers, and tractors.
As the work involves many physically demanding tasks, you should be in good physical shape and enjoy working with your body. We also place great value on having broad machinery knowledge in the relevant area. As a person, you are a team player who is service-oriented, creative, and enjoys taking responsibility. You have good collaboration skills and are effective at communication.
