As a woodworking teacher with us, you will teach in both adapted primary school and primary school for students with hearing impairments. You will have the opportunity to work with students from preschool to ninth grade in an environment characterized by safety, creativity, and individual adaptation.
Your role with us
The position includes:
- Teaching woodworking in age-mixed groups.
- Planning, evaluating, and documenting the teaching.
- Creating conditions for each student's learning based on their needs and abilities.
- Actively participating in pedagogical development work and collegial learning.
Your base placement will be at T4 School, an adapted primary school for students with intellectual disabilities. You will also teach at Silviaskolan, a regional primary school for students with hearing impairments.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a certified teacher with qualifications in woodworking.
- Has good knowledge of the school’s governing documents and actively works with pedagogical development.
- Is attentive, secure, and creative – and sees opportunities in each student’s unique circumstances.
- Contributes to a positive collaborative climate and builds good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

About us
The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together for a learning environment where children, students, and employees succeed and can be their best. The department's mission is to coordinate, plan, and support the various operations and work for coordination between school and working life.
At T4 School (adapted primary school), students from grade F to grade nine are taught in both subjects and subject areas. The school has about 30 students. Each class has a mentor who organizes the teaching. In addition to the mentor, there is also one or more student assistants in each class. T4 School also has an after-school program for the school’s students who are taught in subject areas.
