Property Services in Karlskrona manages properties in eastern Blekinge and strives to create sustainable and well-maintained environments for operations and residents. We are now seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable gardener for our grounds team in Karlskrona.
About the Job
As a gardener, you will play a central role in caring for our outdoor environments, primarily at Blekingesjukhuset in Karlskrona, but also in surrounding areas belonging to Region Blekinge. The grounds team, currently consisting of five employees, works independently to plan and execute their assignments.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- Mowing and weed control
- Pruning trees and shrubs
- Cleaning roofs and clearing gutters
- Participating in renovation projects, including the design and development of new outdoor environments
- Maintenance of vehicles and equipment, such as tractors and wheel loaders.
This position is a temporary contract lasting until August 31, 2026.
About You
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in outdoor environments and a passion for creating well-maintained and attractive gardens.
Qualifications:
- Vocational education in gardening or equivalent knowledge assessed as comparable by the employer.
- A valid driver's license (B category) is required.
Meritorious:
- Experience in landscape maintenance, paving, and use of power tools.
- Certifications for chainsaw and brush cutter operation.
- Good plant knowledge and practical experience in gardening.
Personal Attributes:
- Responsible, self-driven, and proactive.
- Creative and service-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
- Good collaboration skills and accustomed to working both independently and in a team.
- Strong safety awareness and flexibility to handle new challenges.
- Personal suitability is highly valued.
