The Technical Department is responsible for the municipality's properties, buildings, contracts, energy issues, forest management, water and sewage facilities, streets/roads, utilities, waste management, and parks.
The Property Unit, which is part of the Technical Department, manages the municipality's own properties. The area of responsibility extends from Höljes in the north to just south of Torsby town. In addition to facilities for the municipality's core operations, there are swimming pools, cultural buildings, rental housing, industrial premises, and more. The municipality is also responsible for the operation of Torsby Ski Tunnel & Sport Center, the first ski tunnel in Sweden and one of the longest in the world.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Torsby Municipality in Värmland, Technical Department, is seeking a Property Caretaker based in Torsby.
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and responsible. Your task is to maintain and manage our properties together with other employees, ensuring that tenants and others have a good environment to live and work in. You will work proactively, be cost-conscious, and have a good overall perspective. You will carry out repairs and maintenance, ensure that urgent faults and deficiencies are addressed immediately, and follow up on contracts. During the winter months, you will be responsible for snow removal and ice prevention in an exemplary manner. In the summer months, you will ensure that green areas, flower beds, and other land areas are well-maintained. Property readiness may be included in the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have gained knowledge and experience from similar roles within the property industry, or that you are working in related professions and wish to change your career path. Experience from the construction sector or similar is an advantage. You possess the skills required for basic repairs and maintenance of properties and apartments. You are technically knowledgeable and view the computer as a natural tool in your work. It is important that you are service-oriented and take responsibility for your area.
We expect you to be accustomed to using a computer and mobile phone in your daily life and to be able to utilize the municipality's IT tools, as well as express yourself well in both speech and writing.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A Class B driver's license is required.
