We are now seeking part-time substitute staff – an assignment that suits you if you want to work extra, whether you are a student or have other employment.
A Meaningful Assignment
As a part-time substitute at Västergården, you contribute to a daily life where our residents feel secure and are encouraged towards activity and independence. You'll work with colleagues who care - we co-create with residents and their families to provide personalized support.
The job includes:
- Creating structure in daily life - with meals, rest, and community,
- Participating in social activities like games, exercise, and conversations,
- Providing personal care support,
- Documenting follow-up needs.
Who We're Looking For
Västergården needs people who are confident and have a natural care for others - who want to be a present support for our residents with cognitive illness. Key qualities include being calm and secure in providing care, being attentive, and inviting collaboration and dialogue.
Qualifications
- Completed or ongoing education in healthcare and social care.
- Experience in healthcare and social work - from previous work or internship.
- Basic computer skills, including email management and digital note-taking in documentation systems.
- Good Swedish language skills - in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension.
- Previous experience working with people with cognitive illnesses is meritorious.

Västergården in Gothenburg is a residence for people under 65 with cognitive illness. We work as a team, focusing on residents' remaining capabilities and resources. We call this the "CAN list".
