Welcome to Berg Municipality - Municipality of the Year 2024!
Two-thirds of our population lives outside our urban areas, and we do not see the municipality's sparse landscape as an obstacle, but as an opportunity! Here you'll find magnificent nature nearby, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and an active cultural and community life. For those who want urban amenities and communications, Östersund is just a stone's throw away. The South Sami culture, reindeer husbandry, and language are an important part of the municipality's identity.
As an employer, all municipal operations are based on our five governing principles: together, courage, effectiveness, communication, and long-term thinking. Our principles are designed to be our compass and guidance, always promoting trust and a good organizational culture with citizens in focus.
On bergsliv.se, we have collected inspiring stories about people living in the municipality and facts about our urban areas. Welcome to find your dream life with us in Berg Municipality!
We accept job applications digitally through our recruitment system. If you have protected personal information, do not submit your application through the recruitment system. Instead, contact the HR consultant via switchboard +46 0687-161 00 for assistance in applying safely. We decline contact with staffing and recruitment agencies and job advertisement sellers.
We are now seeking hourly substitute workers for Myrviken School! We promise you that in addition to one of Sweden's best schoolyards thanks to an active school sports association, we also offer knowledgeable and interested colleagues and a varied and developing work environment. Are you a person who appreciates varied tasks, enjoys being flexible and solution-oriented, and can structure your day within given frameworks - then you will thrive with us!
Job Responsibilities
As a substitute at Myrviken School, you will have an intermittent employment that means working when needs arise. We are seeking substitutes who want to work as substitute teachers in grades F-9, as substitute teachers in after-school programs, or as support staff - in short, wherever the day's needs emerge. This involves varied tasks that require you to be flexible and able to independently structure your day within given frameworks. An active approach to fundamental values in the school is a matter of course for you.
Qualifications
As a substitute, it is meritorious if you have some form of educational training that the employer finds relevant, or if you have previous experience working in schools or after-school programs. Since Berg Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, knowledge of South Sami culture, traditions, and language is also meritorious.
You need to have very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and good basic computer skills to facilitate work.
Personal Characteristics
As a person, you are secure and stable. Furthermore, you have a good ability to effectively take responsibility, plan, organize, and prioritize your work. We also look for someone who can create and maintain good relationships with others and is responsive. You have the empathetic ability to understand students' needs and meet them where they are, as well as listen, encourage, stimulate, and challenge them to further develop.
You have good collaborative skills and an inclusive approach. Great importance is placed on personal suitability based on these characteristics.
We Offer
We promise you one of Sweden's best schoolyards thanks to an active school sports association - here you'll find a pumptrack, bowling hall (yes, it's true), padel court, and artificial turf fields, well-stocked sheds with bicycles, skis, and all kinds of equipment. Myrviken School is a school with committed educators and wonderful children, and now you have the chance to become part of us as a substitute.
Working in Berg Municipality means becoming part of an organization in constant development and forward movement! Our employees are our most important resource, and we value you for your unique skills and experience.
Selection may occur continuously during the advertisement period, so don't wait too long to submit your application!
Upon employment, you will need to provide an extract from the criminal record register.
Warmly welcome with your application to Myrviken School!
