What does the job of a care assistant/care worker at Norlandia Elderly Care entail? A care assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together with the team, including nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the residents to provide a good life every day.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in elderly individuals, where your main responsibilities will be to provide safe and secure personal care and support. You will assist the residents in their daily lives and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday experience. As a care assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to the residents in accordance with what has been agreed upon in their care plan.
This includes, among other things:
• Working as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day."
• Providing personal care and support while utilizing the residents' own resources.
• Working according to Norlandia's concept "Tasty Meals" to ensure our residents appreciate the food and that the dining experience adds joy to their daily lives.
• Documenting in accordance with the Social Services Act; maintaining social journals and establishing and following up on care plans.
• Planning, offering, and conducting daily activities, outdoor excursions, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
• Performing service tasks such as cleaning apartments, laundry, escorting, shopping, and more.
• Receiving and executing delegated tasks such as medication delegation.
• Actively participating in the organization's quality and improvement work.

• Previous experience in care and support is an advantage.
• Knowledge of sign language is a plus.
• You need to have good documentation skills.
• You must have a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• We prefer that you have good computer skills.
• We would like you to have a good understanding of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Probationary period:
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a potential employment, you must be able to present a criminal record extract. You also need to provide proof of your right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
