Skyddsvärnet will take over the operation of Piletorp starting January 2, 2026. We are looking for individuals with experience in social work who want to contribute to creating safety and support for vulnerable individuals.
About the organization
Piletorp is an emergency housing facility for adults with psychosocial issues, substance abuse, and/or mental health challenges. We have 22 places for men and 4 for women. Our mission is to provide safety and individualized support in daily life – and in interactions with healthcare, authorities, and other community actors. We work socially pedagogically with a focus on respect, participation, and individuals' own resources.

Skyddsvärnet is a non-profit organization founded in 1910. We work to prevent social exclusion and create better living conditions for people in society. We have no owners – all surplus is reinvested in our operations. We are politically and religiously independent.
Your role as an on-call staff member
As an on-call staff member, you will step in as needed – for example, during illness, vacation, or peak work periods. You will become an important part of the team and contribute to creating safety and structure for our residents.
Tasks may include:
• Supportive conversations and practical assistance
• Contact with social services and other actors
• Cooking and basic household chores
• Cleaning and administrative tasks
• Quality work based on the organization’s goals and values
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals with education or experience in areas such as:
• Social pedagogy
• Treatment work
• Psychiatry or substance abuse care
You have good social skills, are confident in yourself, and have a respectful approach. You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good computer skills.

Working hours
As an on-call staff member, you will work as needed – during the day, evening, weekend, or night – depending on the needs of the operation and your availability.
