Part-time Substitute Wanted for Wonderful Child Client in Personal Assistance

About the Role

Are you an engaged, playful, and patient person who loves working with children? Then this might be the job for you! We are currently seeking a Personal Assistant for a wonderful 7-year-old boy with autism and epilepsy who lives south of Stockholm. He needs support in his daily life to develop and thrive. We are looking for someone with a big heart, positive energy, and a desire to make a difference.

Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will be a source of support and security for the boy in his daily life. Your responsibilities will include:

• Playing and engaging him in activities that stimulate and develop his abilities.
• Working on training various tasks, such as creating routines and promoting communication.
• Encouraging and supporting him in activities.
• Working according to his needs and conditions with a calm and positive approach.
• Practicing the use of visual supports and other communication aids.
• Assisting with showering, hygiene, dressing, and undressing routines.

The role also includes providing calm and stable support during other daily activities. Your role is to create security and help the user have a meaningful and pleasant day.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities (preferred).
• Is attentive, responsible, positive, and engaged.
• Is confident and can handle stressful situations, such as during epileptic seizures (introduction and support will be provided).

Additional Information

• Employment type: Hourly contracted
• Working hours: Weekdays between 15:30 - 21:00. Weekend daytime: 07:30 - 14:00. Evening: 14:00 - 21:00
• Start date: As agreed.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the closing date for applications. Considerable weight will be placed on personal suitability.
