Lilla Alby School is a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 500 students. Our operations are based on a holistic view where safety, joy in work, and respect are seen as essential prerequisites for learning and development. The school is centrally located in Sundbyberg, with easy access to trams, buses, the subway, and commuter trains. The school features purpose-built classrooms for subjects such as art, music, and home economics, as well as a beautiful school library. The playground of the white building is designed to encourage play and is well-suited for the younger grades. The playground of the red building includes a popular multipurpose area where older students engage in various ball sports and other activities. This close proximity to Tuvan Park is a significant asset for the entire school, both during breaks and in after-school activities. We are looking for several substitute teachers and support staff. The responsibilities of a substitute in an after-school program include educational work in preschool classes, schools, and after-school programs, as well as supervising during recess. You will collaborate in classes during school hours, where the responsible teacher will assign tasks. This may involve supporting students individually, in groups, or taking responsibility for a half-class. You will supervise during breaks and in the afternoons, you will work in the after-school program.
We want you to have a strong interest in working with children and young people, and to understand the importance of being a good role model. You are positive and have a knack for collaborating and connecting with both children and adults. As a substitute, it is an advantage if you are resilient and flexible, and can easily adapt to new conditions since the needs of the program are constantly changing and always prioritized.
The position as a substitute means that you will be contacted when there is a need for substitutes. We need substitutes who want to work 3-5 days per week or for longer assignments. The application deadline is November 14th. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
Before employment, the employer will request you to provide an extract from the police criminal record.
