Järfälla Learning Center is a municipal adult education institution operated in-house. The center has around 1,600 students. The school's operations are centrally located within the municipality. The offerings include SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), Swedish as a second language at basic and upper secondary levels, vocational training, and adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary levels.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking 1 substitute teacher with strong knowledge of Arabic and Persian for SFI who can provide support when the regular teacher is absent, whether planned or unplanned.
In the role of teacher for Swedish for immigrants, you will work at all levels and within all study paths as needed. You will conduct classroom instruction both during the day and in the evening, as we offer a varied range of educational formats. We have daytime lessons on weekdays as well as evening classes on Monday and Tuesday, as well as Thursday.
As a teacher with us, you will work in a team based on the responsibilities outlined in the curriculum. This means that you, together with school management and other colleagues, lead and develop the school's daily operations to enhance goal fulfillment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed teacher, someone studying to become a teacher, or a retired individual who feels they are not ready to end their professional career yet. Your qualifications or studies should focus on Swedish as a second language at the basic level.
As a teacher, you are responsible, engaged, and familiar with the governing documents for municipal adult education. You are interested in the students' knowledge development from both a pedagogical and social perspective.
As a person, you are secure, stable, and possess good self-awareness. You work well with others, pay attention to others' opinions and competencies, and share your own knowledge. Part of the role is related to online teaching, which requires high competence and experience in digital environments, both technically and didactically.
You should also be able to motivate and coach students towards good study results and positive knowledge development according to national governing documents, as well as have a strong ability to manage groups with varying levels of prior knowledge.
You have good knowledge of Arabic and Persian and can support both students and teachers as needed.
Personal suitability is of great importance.
