Part-Time Substitute Food Service Assistant at Järla School, Nacka Municipality

This is a part-time, hourly-paid, time-limited position with immediate start (50-100 percent as needed). Your Assignment As an hourly meal assistant, you will perform standard tasks in a large-scale kitchen. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, salad buffet, and snacks, as well as cook and serve food. Additionally, your responsibilities include dishwashing and cleaning the dining hall and kitchen. Work tasks alternate between working independently in a receiving kitchen and collaborating with a team in the main kitchen. Work hours vary, covering full days or parts of days, depending on operational needs. As a substitute, you must be able to step in on short notice, whether for part of a day, full day, or extended periods. Your primary location will be Järla School, but you may also work in kitchens at other schools and preschools within the Järla administrative area. Your Experience For this position, you must have: - Completed compulsory school education - Experience working in kitchen/restaurant settings - Strong ability to communicate effectively in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Additional qualifications that are advantageous: - High school education in hotel and restaurant management - Experience working in large-scale kitchens - Knowledge and experience preparing vegetarian dishes - Experience working with children in schools or preschools, or as a sports association leader To succeed as a substitute, you need to be a hardworking and food-passionate person who understands the importance of service and teamwork. You have both the interest and ability to support and collaborate with students and colleagues. You are self-driven, with the capacity to effectively manage, structure, and take responsibility for your time and tasks. You take initiative, support others, and start activities without waiting for instructions. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and availability. You will answer phone calls and be able to travel to schools on short notice. You enjoy varied work tasks and can easily adapt to different working methods based on operational needs. Your primary location will be Järla School.
