Hourly Substitute Home Care Worker with a Focus on Dementia and Psychiatry

HOME CARE Working hours: The operation has two different shifts per day, and you will work one of the two shifts as needed. However, you may start and finish at different times than those listed below, depending on the needs of the operation and the clients. Day shift: 07:30-16:30 Evening shift: 15:00-22:00 Work opportunities: You must be available for at least 3 shifts per week, and we prefer that you can work more, as we strive for the highest possible continuity in our operations. (We do not accept applications from individuals who can only work on weekends or parts of a shift, as these times are the ones that apply). We also expect you to have the intention to stay in the position for a longer period. Salary: Based on the collective agreement of the operation (Almega). To work in our operation, it is advantageous if you: - Have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various forms of dementia or mental health issues. - Have worked for an extended period in home care or nursing homes. - Have very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, as you will be visiting clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you will need to document in journals and read instructions. - Are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your approach to work. - Can handle stress and plan and structure your work. - Have good local knowledge of inner Stockholm, as you will be getting around using public transport or walking. Job responsibilities: You will follow a service schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the services that have been approved according to the assistance decision. This includes, among other things, personal hygiene and intimate care, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, shopping, accompanying clients to various institutions, and walking. We work extensively on motivation to ensure that we can carry out the services and use various working methods as tools. We have team leaders and administrators who staff the office during the day, where you can turn for support in your daily work. Who we are: Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in clients' own homes. The operation also offers escort services, respite care, and housing support. The operation consists solely of two large teams, and you may work in both depending on your interests and competencies: The Dementia Team focuses on clients with dementia, with varying degrees of severity. The Special Team focuses on mental health issues, ongoing substance abuse, and also includes housing support. We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out of each client visit using a mobile phone, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS. Where we are and how you get around to clients: We have clients in 8 different districts, and you will start and end your shift from Södermalm, where our office is located. You will get around to clients using public transport or by walking (the operation does not have any vehicles). An SL card is required for this position.
