SCÄ Inpatient Care is now looking for hourly employees! Working within SCÄ's inpatient care is exciting! It is a specialist psychiatric care facility with somatic elements, so an interest in both somatic and psychiatric conditions is welcomed.
The Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and accepts patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation that includes digital care, outpatient care, intensive outpatient care, day care, inpatient care, and national highly specialized care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today, we have nearly 280 employees. Our outpatient and day care services are located in Södermalm, and our inpatient care is at Danderyd Hospital.

The inpatient care for young adults and adults consists of two wards that treat patients with serious eating disorders staying under HSL or LPT. Here, we actively work with phase 1 of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), focusing primarily on weight recovery, utilizing meal planning, self-registrations, and support to reduce compensatory behaviors. These units are seeking engaged and positive hourly employees who contribute to quality care.

Job Responsibilities:
- Meal support and supportive conversations
- Anxiety management and psychoeducational groups
- Planning and follow-up of permissions
- Practical care tasks and nursing work

Qualifications:
You are a trained nursing assistant with certification of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Previous experience in psychiatric work and with patients who have eating disorders is advantageous. Ongoing studies in a field that contributes to our operations are seen as positive, while also providing you experience that can enrich your studies. Similarly, previous practical experience with somatic examinations such as venous blood sampling and EKG, as well as knowledge of the patient record system TakeCare.

In patient-facing work within Stockholm Region Health Care:
- A background check is applied before a hiring decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, following current directives, conducted by occupational health services before employment.
- Apart from a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirement applies to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
