Part-time Position as Treatment Educator/Treatment Assistant

Job Description SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is now seeking additional hourly temporary staff to support our operations during vacancies. Our youth home has 43 places for security-classified boys between approximately 12-16 years old, distributed across 6 departments. The youth at SiS have backgrounds characterized by unpredictability and stress in various forms, which means your focus will be on professionally working with treatment, care, and motivation, as well as providing daily support. You will be part of the youth's schooling, cooking and cleaning routines, evening activities, and more, as residents live here around the clock. All activities are performed safely and carefully risk-assessed before implementation, which you will help be responsible for. As a treatment assistant, you will work in teams with trained treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators. Together, you will ensure that the youth residing with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. Documentation is a crucial part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You will help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to continuously improving SiS. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must have a deeply rooted positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core value of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident and can easily establish relationships with both youth and staff. You have strong communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You collaborate well with others and can handle conflicts constructively. Based on the new Social Services Act, the basic requirements for our staff have been raised. All treatment personnel must have: • At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school, vocational college, or equivalent, focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or a relevant subject area* • Class B driver's license • Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written *Exceptions may be made in individual cases with special reasons according to 5 chap. 4§ of the Social Services Ordinance. Meritorious: • Experience working with our target group (boys with criminal lifestyles) • Experience working with people in vulnerable situations (e.g., psychiatry, residential care, healthcare) • Experience in client-facing positions in Criminal Care • Security guard training or healthcare education • Experience in client-facing positions at the Migration Agency We place great importance on personal suitability for this job. Equally important is having a fundamentally positive view of people and strong communication skills. You need to maintain a calm demeanor even in pressured situations. Employment: This is an hourly position requiring a minimum of three shifts per month. You will be organizationally assigned to one department but will cover vacancies across all six departments.
