Mörbylånga Municipality is located in the southern part of Öland and consists of approximately 1,200 committed and competent employees driven by making a difference in our community. We are now seeking additional employees who want to contribute to Öland continuing to be an amazing place to live, work, and visit.
At Torslunda School, we work together to provide students with the best conditions to develop into curious, social, and democratic individuals. We want to show them ways to find and acquire new knowledge and understand the democratic values on which our society is built. We work according to the guiding principles of Health and Learning at Torslunda School and have been a certified Generation Pep School since 2021. Torslunda School is also a VI School that, together with Linnaeus University, educates new teachers and leisure center teachers. This means we have several students in our operations during the training period.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will have shared mentorship for a primary school class. At the primary level, there are four teachers in total, including a plus-teacher, which enables class sharing.
You will be part of a team consisting of four other primary school teachers, but since the school is small, we often work in the entire work group. Your tasks include planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting instruction individually and together with your colleagues. Continuous collaboration with leisure center activities occurs throughout the school year. We thus have high expectations for your collaboration abilities and being part of a whole. Furthermore, you easily adapt and can maintain focus when circumstances occasionally change. You contribute to a positive work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a qualified teacher with authorization to teach grades F-3.
You have a natural interest in children, learning, and development work. You understand the importance of collaboration as a crucial means of improving teaching quality. You have a holistic perspective on different learning environments. We expect you to have good insight into and knowledge of school governance documents. You should develop and improve both your individual work and your knowledge of collegial work based on research and proven experience.
To create successful work teams, we seek someone who is curious, open to different working methods, and flexible in collaboration. As a person, you have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and can contribute to a positive work environment. In your work, you are passionate about and excel at focusing on the student. Additionally, you can work in a solution-oriented, structured, and goal-driven manner. Together with your colleagues, you actively work on improvement and development efforts to drive school development forward.
