We are now seeking a certified teacher qualified to teach textile crafts at Maglehill School for grades 3-6. If you want to take responsibility for students' learning and be involved in the school's development work - then this is the position for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a textile crafts teacher who wants to actively participate in the development of the schools and the students. The position is a permanent role at 80% with a start date of January 7, 2026.
In your role as a crafts teacher, you will be responsible for continuing to develop the program together with the team and initiating interdisciplinary work. We are looking for a teacher with energy and enthusiasm for students, learning, and the subject of crafts. You will work towards collegial learning, particularly with your parallel colleague in the subject of crafts. In collaboration with educators in grades 3-6, you will teach the craft subject based on current governing documents and provide students with opportunities to develop their skills. Your work will include planning, implementing lessons, documenting and assessing according to the craft subject's curriculum, and, importantly, following up and evaluating your own and the students' work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach textile crafts for grades 3-6 and have a strong pedagogical interest.
The position requires that you:
- Are a good leader both in and out of the classroom
- Plan with a focus on students' desire to learn
- Have a good understanding of how classroom instruction affects different students' learning
- Have the ability to create good relationships and thereby foster a safe learning environment for our students
- Are well-versed in governing documents and have experience analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge
- Can work independently, but you are also good at collaborating.
