We are looking for a person who wants to assist a boy in need of support in his daily life and who also has the ability and willingness to prioritize the customer. The job is not entirely simple; there is much to learn, but we are confident that you will enjoy it, provided you wish to work with children with disabilities. Does this sound like you? Do you possess a calm demeanor while being resourceful, playful, and loving to work with children? Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are currently seeking an assistant for a happy and charming 10-year-old boy. He enjoys singing/music, active play, massages, hugs, and being outdoors. The boy lives in Västerås with his caring family, which consists of his mother, father, and siblings. During weekdays, the boy is at school, and his need for assistance primarily occurs in the afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends. During holidays and breaks, daytime work is also required. The boy has a brain injury, epilepsy, and is blind, which means he requires support in all aspects of his daily life. He needs assistance with dressing and undressing, hygiene, communication, and mobility. He requires help with feeding and receives nutrition through a PEG (tube feeding). He also needs assistance with play, exercise, and stretching. You will receive training if you are offered the position, but we hope you already have some experience in assistance. You need to be in good physical condition, as the work involves some exercise and play. In addition to being engaged, flexible, and responsible, applicants must be non-smokers, and strong scents are not permitted in the workplace. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but it is not a requirement. Working hours are scheduled during the afternoon, evening, and weekend. Some night work is also involved, and it is a combination of active time and on-call duty. During school holidays and public holidays, daytime work will also be relevant. About the position: 1 position of approximately 50% with immediate start. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays: 16:00-20:00 & 20:00-07:45 (sleeping night).
