Content and Responsibilities For spring 2026, we are seeking exam invigilators to work with examinations at Malmö University. Exams are conducted both digitally and on paper, with the digital format becoming increasingly prevalent. Therefore, it is crucial that you have good computer skills, an interest in IT, and can easily learn new computer systems. As an exam invigilator, you have an important task in ensuring that exams are conducted legally and in accordance with the university's regulations. You will handle practical and administrative tasks related to exams and provide information to students in Swedish and English. Exams take place in large halls and smaller rooms with one or a few students. Work shifts vary in length but are typically around 6 hours. The hired exam invigilator will undergo mandatory training. Qualifications We are looking for someone passionate about service who can consistently provide a professional approach to students, teachers, and others, even in pressured situations. In this role, you need to be clear and communicate what applies in different scenarios. We have high requirements for collaboration skills, and it is important that you enjoy working in a team. You are communicative, have no issues speaking in front of large groups, and we place great emphasis on your ability to express yourself well verbally and in writing. It is important that you are organized, punctual, and meticulous, and feel a strong sense of responsibility for your tasks. You have good computer skills, an interest in IT, and can easily learn new systems. You will need to handle system-related issues, solve problems that arise during digital exams, and guide students through the system. There are no guarantees of a specific number of work hours. The number of exams varies, with some periods being more intense than others. It is therefore advantageous if you can combine exam invigilator work with part-time employment, studies at another institution, entrepreneurship, or retirement. Previous experience as an exam invigilator/proctor is meritorious. You need to be flexible as exam sessions occur on weekdays during day and evening hours, as well as Saturdays. We prefer candidates who can work multiple days per week. Please indicate in your application how many days you believe you can be available/week to work as an exam invigilator. Specific requirements for this position: • Completed high school education • Excellent proficiency in both Swedish and English Particularly meritorious: • Previous work as an exam invigilator/proctor • Experience with the Inspera computer system • Completed studies at university/college level Workplace The position is located at the Administrative Unit, Building and Service Department, which belongs to Malmö University's shared operational support. The unit is responsible for scheduling, room booking, exam administration, reception and switchboard, and conference activities. Additionally, approximately fifty exam invigilators work at the unit during exams.
