The campus is modern and well-equipped, located close to both the transit center and Halmstad's pleasant city center. We are seeking exam invigilators for hourly employment as needed, stationed at the Educational Support department. Educational Support is a central department within the University's operational support, with approximately 50 employees responsible for all study administration and student support, both centrally and academically. The department is organized into three groups: study support, student-near support, and study administration. Exam services are part of the study support group. Job Responsibilities As an exam invigilator, you have a crucial task and contribute to ensuring examinations are conducted legally and fairly. Your main duties include preparing for exam sessions, supervising and being available for students during exams, and organizing the room and materials after the exam. The work involves ensuring all students take exams according to university rules and create a good examination environment. You need to be comfortable informing student groups about rules and regulations during the exam. A critical task is also detecting, preventing, and reporting suspected cheating. The work can be physically demanding and requires good vision and hearing. Exams are conducted both digitally and on paper. Digital exams are done in a computer system that you as an invigilator will also work in. The digital orientation of exams will become increasingly comprehensive. Therefore, it is crucial that you have good computer skills, an interest in IT, and can easily learn new systems. You will perform the aforementioned tasks correctly and with a professional approach. Our multicultural environment means you will work in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing, almost daily. The work is performed together with at least one other exam invigilator. Each room has a responsible invigilator who plans the workday and collects and delivers exams. The responsible role rotates within the group. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: - Has completed high school or equivalent education - Has good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English to small and large groups - Has good computer skills by understanding and being able to use and work in computer systems Important Abilities: To function and thrive in this role, you as a person should be: Structured by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently. Terms Hourly wage according to agreement Special fixed-term employment (intermittent/hourly employment) You can influence the extent of work. Each time you work is considered a separate employment opportunity. Work may occur in the evening and on Saturdays. Exam services are also responsible for conducting exams for nursing students at Campus Varberg, so work in Varberg may occur. You cannot combine current or near-future studies at Halmstad University with being an exam invigilator at Halmstad University. Selection and interviews will begin during the application period.
