The Telephone Exchange is a department within the Shared Service Center in the Regionservice administration. The department manages all telephone exchanges within Region Örebro County, 24/7, throughout the year. The team consists of 30 employees geographically located at Örebro University Hospital, where we are currently seeking staff for temporary positions of up to 10 months. More information about the Telephone Exchange can be found on the Region Örebro County website. **Introduction and Setup** The position begins with an introductory training course lasting approximately 8 weeks. Working hours will vary, including days, evenings, and weekends, with about one weekend every three weeks. Within the Shared Service Center, there are departments including Service Center, Telephone Exchange, HR Administration, Financial Department, Regional Archives, and Registration, as well as Payroll and Pension Administration. Together, we create a better life. **Telephonist, Temporary Position at Region Örebro County** **Responsibilities** As a team member, you will work within a group, ensuring that the telephonist function operates optimally. Employees in the Telephone Exchange carry a significant amount of responsibility. Your responsibilities will include, among other tasks: - Receiving and forwarding calls to the correct unit/extension - Emergency alarm management – Receiving, forwarding, and documenting emergency alarms - Initiating, monitoring, and documenting emergency preparedness situations and extraordinary events within Region Örebro County - Conducting person searches - Providing general information to citizens and organizations - Offering information support during extraordinary events - Providing language interpreters during on-call hours **Additional Information** Welcome with your application! You have previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a switchboard or phone support capacity. You are attentive, possess good empathetic skills, gain trust, and build strong relationships. You take significant responsibility and have a high capacity for multitasking. You have a keen interest in developing in your job and can handle varying paces. We place great emphasis on your social skills, personal attributes, collaboration abilities, and your capacity to work independently as well.
