Technical Specialist in Facility Monitoring

We are seeking a Technical Specialist for Infrastructure Monitoring of the Overarching System - Railway for Trafikverket. This is a multi-year consulting assignment. The position is full-time. The assignment can be performed from Trafikverket's offices in Stockholm, Nyköping, Linköping, or Norrköping. The role involves close collaboration with the client, which requires a high degree of flexibility and teamwork. Assignment The role of Technical Specialist in Infrastructure Monitoring of the Overarching System - Railway involves supporting Trafikverket's procurement organization with technical expertise in the overarching system for infrastructure monitoring, traffic information systems, camera surveillance, ground-based vehicle detectors, and alarm and access systems. The work is conducted during both the design and construction phases, primarily within the Ostlänken project, and includes requirements specification, follow-up, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and internal operational areas. The role also entails representing the BEST function in project meetings and leading and distributing work within the Tele-IT technical area. Responsibilities - Further develop the overarching system in SCADA GELD to suit Ostlänken. - Adapt the environment for receiving operational cards and variable tag lists. - Close collaboration with system administrators and receiving organizations. - Potential project management role for development work from the system supplier. - Draft sections of procurement documents regarding infrastructure monitoring, traffic information systems, camera surveillance, ground-based vehicle detectors, and alarm and access systems for the procurement of construction documents. - Collaborate with the Maintenance operational area within Trafikverket for cost assessment and requirements formulation within infrastructure monitoring. - Perform control and follow-up work on deliveries. - Support project management in preparing change and additional work as well as procurement issues. - Plan for the implementation and integration of new facilities into Trafikverket's national system in collaboration with managing and operational areas. - Represent the BEST function in the project's sub-project meetings. - Assist the project’s functional manager for BEST with their tasks. - Act as a coordinating specialist and lead/distribute work within the Tele-IT technical area in the BEST group. Requirements (Mandatory) 1. Technical university education or equivalent competence acquired through experience and training deemed equivalent by the client. 2. At least 3 years of work experience in infrastructure projects within the railway sector. 3. At least 5 years of experience in design, programming, implementation, or integration of infrastructure monitoring overarching systems. 4. At least 5 years of experience working with SCADA systems. 5. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. 6. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Meritorious - At least 10 years of experience in design, implementation, or integration of infrastructure monitoring overarching systems. - Verified knowledge of AB and ABK.
