Technical Writer for Assignment in Arboga Security Screening: Security classification and Swedish citizenship requirements may apply We are seeking a Technical Writer who has a genuine interest in technology and a background in electronics or electrical engineering, with a passion for creating clear, structured, and user-friendly technical documentation. As a Technical Writer, you will be a crucial part of a team ensuring that technical information is accurate, consistent, and accessible for both internal users and end customers. About the Assignment In the role of Technical Writer, you will produce and update technical documentation according to established standards and tools. The work requires both technical understanding and linguistic precision, translating complex technical concepts into clear and accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Create, update, and quality assure maintenance and repair instructions, testing and troubleshooting guidelines, and software usage documentation - Work according to standards such as S1000D, iSpec 2200, Simplified Technical English (STE), and tools like XML, SGML, and CMS environments (e.g., Uptime 4) - Collaborate with engineers, developers, and product specialists to ensure documentation reflects current technology and functionality - Contribute to improvements in documentation structure, language, and user-friendliness Your Profile - Experience as a Technical Writer or in electrical/electronics fields - Education in electrical engineering, electronics, technology, or equivalent work experience - Experience working with Simplified Technical English, XML, SGML, iSpec 2200, and/or S1000D - Experience creating maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and user instructions - Excellent Swedish and English language skills, both spoken and written - Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and simply - Strong collaborative skills and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications - Advanced knowledge of S1000D and Simplified Technical English (STE) - Experience with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator - Experience working in UPTIME 4 or equivalent XML/CMS tools (2-5 years)
