About this role
Are you looking to combine technology and sales in a role with significant responsibility and freedom? With us, you'll have the opportunity to build long-term customer relationships, develop creative solutions, and contribute to our success within Volvo Penta Industry. Does that spark your interest? Then you might be the one we're looking for!
As a technical sales representative, you'll play a central role in further developing our Volvo Penta Industry business. You'll primarily work with manufacturing OEM customers, as well as other stakeholders and end customers. The role combines strategic and operational work, where you'll collaborate closely internally and receive strong support from both Swecon and Volvo Penta as manufacturers.
You'll be responsible for selling advanced technical products through customer-tailored solutions. You'll closely monitor the market, identify new business opportunities, and create long-term relationships. Sales cycles vary – from longer projects to urgent needs where quick solutions are crucial.
We are a dedicated and cohesive team that values team spirit, openness, and a non-prestigious work environment. Although we are geographically dispersed, we regularly meet both digitally and in person. By sharing ideas and solving challenges together, we achieve the best results – both in new sales and service business. Our goal is for customers to feel security and added value with us as their supplier.
To succeed in the role, you must be prepared to travel and visit customers throughout Sweden. Possible locations include Gothenburg, Uppsala, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and other locations where we have facilities.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and ensure long-term relationships with our existing customers
- Identify new business opportunities and approach new customers
- Work with the entire sales process from customer needs analysis to order and forecast
- Deliver presentations that are both commercial and have deeper technical content
- Collaborate with technical specialists and other departments within Volvo Penta and internal support
To succeed and enjoy the role, you have:
- 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector
- Ability to be communicative, relationship-building, and business-driven
- Willingness and confidence to conduct negotiations and presentations
- Relevant technical education, preferably in automotive or engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with CRM systems and structured sales processes
- Ability to speak and write Swedish and English fluently
- Valid driver's license (B-class)
We offer you:
- An exciting role with a strong brand – Volvo Penta
- Opportunity to develop in technology and sales
- Committed colleagues and an inclusive work environment
- Competitive terms and benefits
