Responsibilities
As a technical salesperson at SMC, you will contribute to the company's continued growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing existing customer relationships. You will actively engage in prospecting and independently contact potential customers in the industrial sector, analyzing their needs to present solutions from the company's extensive range. You will work closely with colleagues in other departments, such as product managers and application engineers, to develop tailored solutions that create added value for each customer.
You will be responsible for the entire sales process, from scheduling and conducting customer meetings to presenting technical solutions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that the customer feels secure and willing to invest in the company's products and solutions based on their needs analysis. The role involves engaging with decision-makers at various levels and building long-term relationships that lead to repeat business. The position requires both operational and strategic skills, where you plan your own sales while also contributing to the team's collective goals. When not visiting customers, you will work from the company's office in Lund, where you will be part of a dedicated and knowledgeable sales team of six.

Education, experience, and personal qualities
• Technical background with experience in areas such as automation, pneumatics, or industry
• Experience in technical sales within the industry is highly advantageous
• Good computer and systems proficiency
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license (B)
