Your Role
The Surveillance business area offers effective solutions for monitoring and decision support, and systems for detecting and protecting against various types of threats. The product portfolio includes airborne, land-based, and marine radar systems, signal intelligence and self-protection systems, command systems, and maritime and air traffic management systems.
We are now seeking experienced technical project managers who want to drive both delivery and product projects. Here, you will have a key role in leading the integration of some of the world's leading systems in our area.
As a technical project manager, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the project meets technical requirements within budget and delivers according to plan. The role involves leading and coordinating the technical activities in projects - both internally in our teams and externally with customers.
Being a technical project manager also means:
* Leading and ensuring progress of technical work within projects
* Responsible for customer and supplier contact for technical aspects
* Supporting the project manager with documentation during customer contacts
* Monitoring project activities and ensuring project commitments and progress through active leadership
* Coordinating and defining internal technical functions, including defining project scope, timeline, budget, and resource needs
* Ability to conduct system analyses of prospects from the Win Business phase, have sufficient technical understanding to create calculation basis, and drive/lead design activities
The position is located in Arboga.
Your Profile
You are a person with solid experience in technical project management. You have an engineering education, preferably at the master's level, and several years of system work experience. You have a good ability to find effective solutions and can easily navigate the organization and communicate with our internal suppliers to solve and prevent problems and challenges. Furthermore, you have previous experience with some form of formal leadership in your work.
The position also includes significant communication with external customers, which requires good business acumen and good knowledge of both Swedish and English in writing and speech.
Meritorious are knowledge and work experience supported by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). It is also meritorious if you have experience working in the defense industry.
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may require specific citizenship.
