In the Camera and Establishment group, we work with project planning and the establishment of new systems, as well as the operation and management of the authority’s surveillance cameras. The work covers the entire country’s camera capability, but most of the work will be performed at your workplace in Stockholm.
Job Description:
As a Technical Specialist, you will be involved in implementing and managing the lifecycle of smart solutions within camera technology. We are fully committed to this area and aim to create the best conditions to enhance safety and contribute to increased crime resolution.
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
· Troubleshooting, including networks and hardware
• Maintaining continuous dialogues with operations and external parties
• Configuring camera hardware and network equipment (VPN tunnels, etc.)
• Participating in projects for the establishment of new camera sites nationwide
• Providing support to operations
Travel and site visits may occur across the country as the IT department operates nationally.
Qualifications:
This is an opportunity for you who have:
· High school or post-secondary education, or equivalent experience deemed comparable by the Police Authority
· At least 3 years of current experience in configuring camera hardware and/or network equipment
· At least 3 years of current experience working in VMS
· Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious
It is an advantage if you also have:
· Experience working with surveillance cameras (implementation, installation, project planning, etc.)
· Experience in the operation and management of surveillance camera solutions
· Experience configuring firewalls and switches
· Experience working in case management systems
· A valid B driver's license
