About this role
Are you a student in a technical field looking for a flexible part-time job where you can work hands-on with electronics? Do you have good fine motor skills, patience, and an interest in how things work internally? On behalf of our client, we are now seeking a student for a specific assignment in their development lab.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Our client has developed an access panel for cabin doors. After a period of inactivity in the project, the demand for spare parts for these panels has now resurfaced. The client has a stock of approximately 40 panels that need to be configured, tested, and ensured for delivery.
You will be offered:
- The assignment can be carried out during office hours (Mon-Fri, 08:00-18:00) at the client's location. Since there is no urgent rush, you can spread out the hours to fit your studies. (Note: Availability in the lab during the Christmas and holiday periods may vary).
- You will gain insight into the client's operations and practical experience in hardware testing in a professional environment.
- For the right person, the client sees this as a starting point. They have ongoing needs for assistance in their lab throughout the year with tasks such as building test equipment, setting up test environments, 3D printing, and network connections. There are good opportunities for summer jobs or thesis projects in the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job tasks
The work takes place in the client's lab and is hands-on. You will handle sensitive electronics that require caution and precision. The assignment is estimated to take about one workweek in total (approximately 40 hours), but the pace of work is not time-critical and can be adjusted according to your schedule.
* Disassemble the panel into its components
* Handle circuit boards, thin cables, and small connectors
* Run a predefined test program (you will follow instructions on a screen, e.g., check that LEDs work, scan test cards, etc.)
* Reassemble the panels
* Ensure that the panels function after reassembly
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- We believe you are pursuing a technical college or university education, for example in mechatronics, electronics, or programming. The most important thing is not exactly what you are studying, but that you have a technical interest.
- Good fine motor skills and an eye for detail. You are comfortable working hands-on.
- Ability to work meticulously and independently.
It is a merit if you have:
- Experience in assembling or testing electronic components.
To succeed in this role, you possess the following personal qualities:
* Detail-oriented
* Cooperative
* Problem-solving
