We are now looking for a technician to join the maintenance team at the Assistive Technology Center in Borås.

Job Description
As a technician in the maintenance team, you have the opportunity to make a difference in people's daily lives and facilitate life for individuals with disabilities. You primarily work in the field in collaboration with clients, patients, and colleagues. Utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical advice during assembly
- Conducting functional checks and maintenance of assistive devices
- Installation, customization, and repairs
- Documentation and administrative duties
- Providing telephone support in the form of technical assistance
This position is scheduled for daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

- Be responsible and meticulous to ensure quality and high safety standards
You must possess a completed high school education and have work experience that has provided you with technical knowledge relevant to this position. You enjoy meeting new people and have the ability to be empathetic and flexible. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good IT skills with experience working in various IT systems. Given that the position involves walking and standing for large portions of the workday, it is essential that you have good physical stamina and an ergonomic approach to work. You must hold a valid B driver's license and have good driving experience.
Previous experience working with assistive devices is an advantage, as is knowledge of the business system Sesam and low-voltage work (12-24V).
About Us
The Assistive Technology Center is part of the Supply Management Administration within the Västra Götalandsregionen and serves as a competence and logistics center for the 49 municipalities, as well as for Västra Götalandsregionen's own operations. We are located in Borås, Mölndal, Skövde, and Uddevalla. Our service offerings are based on the needs of healthcare providers for in-depth knowledge of assistive technology as well as various support services to aid the healthcare chain.
We handle purchasing, storage, distribution, as well as service and maintenance of assistive technology products. We also assist prescribers with, among other things, assistive device consulting, individual fittings, adjustments/special adaptations, study visits, and training. We offer a developing workplace where you receive onboarding, training, and good employment terms. Other Information
This position is a temporary full-time employment with a start date of January 7. The initial need is for 9 months. A background check will be requested.
