We are now seeking a Technician in Reconditioning and Adaptation for the Medical Device Center in Mölndal.

About the Position
The work as a technician in reconditioning and adaptation involves patient safety and excellent service. You will contribute your collaborative skills and technical expertise to provide our customers with medical devices in the best possible condition. In this role, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues to solve various tasks. These include reconditioning and adaptation of wheelchairs to ensure functionality, comfort, and high quality. Various administrative tasks within the warehouse operations are also part of the assignment, as well as assisting other teams and units within the Medical Device Center when needed.
To provide good service in the technician role, you need to:

We are looking for someone with an approved high school education or other professional experience that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer candidates with experience in craft trades or who have developed good tool skills. You should communicate fluently in Swedish both verbally and in writing and have good computer skills and experience working with various IT systems. As the position involves standing and walking for most of the workday, it is important that you have good physical ability and an ergonomic work approach.
As a person, you are motivated by working both individually and together with others to achieve set goals. You are aware that your contribution affects the overall result and are therefore eager to do a good job. Previous experience working with medical devices and in the Sesam business system is considered meritorious. A Class B driver's license (automatic or manual) is required as driving may be necessary for the job.
About the Medical Device Center
The Medical Device Center belongs to the Supply Administration of the Västra Götaland Region and is a competence and logistics center for the 49 municipalities and the region's own operations. We are located in Borås, Mölndal, Skövde, and Uddevalla.
Our service offering is based on healthcare providers' needs for in-depth knowledge in the medical device area and various service offerings to support the care chain. We handle purchasing, inventory management, distribution, and service and maintenance of medical device items. We also help prescribers with medical device advice, individual fitting, adaptations/special adaptations, study visits, and training.
At the Medical Device Center in Mölndal, nearly 160 employees work, of which approximately 70 people belong to the delivery unit. We recondition and adapt around 2,000 manual wheelchairs every month.
