Are you the Technician in Helsingborg we're looking for?
Your future role:
You will report to the site manager and work together with a knowledgeable and committed team that will help you integrate into the work in the best possible way.
At the depot in Helsingborg, you will work on upgrading the ETCS signaling system on X61 trains.
Depending on your skills, the work will consist of dismantling, cable routing, and other tasks according to the work manual. You need to be able to follow and understand instructions in English.
We expect you to:
• Work according to instructions in existing systems
• Register and document tasks in our systems (e.g., action text, materials used)
• Occasionally troubleshoot and address electrical errors using diagnostic tools
• Use overhead crane and other tools
• Comply with our environmental, health, safety, and quality policy
• Work in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Alstom's railway safety policy
About you:
To succeed as a technician/installer, you need strong technical competence and an eye for detail.
You are structured and enjoy working according to clear processes. You thrive with deadlines and delivering on time.
We also believe that you:
• Are analytical and enjoy technical troubleshooting
• Have high accuracy and strong sense of responsibility
• Are a team player with good communication skills
• Have education/experience or strong interest in mechanical work and technology
• Experience from technical work in aviation, industry, vehicles, or similar
• Familiar with installing electrical and mechanical components according to drawings and instructions
• Good knowledge of electricity is a significant plus
Meriting:
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Knowledge of the railway industry
• Good English skills
Additional Information:
All employees must complete Alstom's internal training with approved results (conducted during work hours).
Medically approved health examination is required before employment (arranged by Alstom).
Work is during daytime.
