About the Position At Sörbyängsvägen 2E, we work closely with individuals, supporting rehabilitation and health promotion. Here, you will provide support in service recipients' daily lives to help them achieve a functional and satisfying life. You will also have the opportunity to influence the operations long-term by being involved in planning and development. We have a human-centered approach that contributes to individual personal development, participation, and the ability to impact their life situation. Communication with service recipients primarily occurs in sign language. Example Work Tasks: • Support service recipients in daily life based on needs and approved interventions • Plan, implement, and follow up on daily work with support, service, care, health, and medical interventions alongside service recipients • Perform care work such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, etc. • Execute service tasks like cleaning, laundry, shopping, or meal preparation • Participate in workplace meetings and other meetings • Manage documentation and stay updated on laws and policies About the Workplace Sörbyängsvägen 2E is located near Örebro University, close to healthcare centers, grocery stores, and green areas. Seven service recipients of various ages live here. Service recipients communicate through sign language. We also provide services to three additional service recipients with external support. The workplace is easily accessible by bicycle and bus. The Social Administration's Disability Support Area provides support and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). Qualifications As a support assistant with us, you are confident and stable. You have the ability to interact with service recipients professionally by being calm, attentive, and accommodating. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a sensitive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of humanity with great respect for each individual's needs. You must have proficient Swedish language skills to document what the operation requires. Good computer skills are also necessary for documentation. We place significant emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: • Nursing assistant education or Child and Recreation Program (focus on pedagogical and/or social work) • Good sign language skills Meriting Factors: • Documented experience working in disability support • Experience with low-affective approach • Experience with social documentation • Experience with IBIC • Experience with VISA • Ability to communicate in Swedish verbally and in writing with service recipients and relatives who do not know sign language Scope and Commencement Employment Type: Temporary position Employment Percentage: 100% Start Date: January 1, 2026 - August 30, 2026 Number of Positions: 1 Work Hours: Day, evening, and every other weekend Additional Information Before being offered employment working with persons with disabilities, you must provide a criminal record extract.
