About this role

We are seeking an engaged, sign language-proficient support assistant! Here, you will have the opportunity to support our service users in their daily lives in a structured and goal-oriented manner. About the Position Bjällbovägen 7 is a sign language group home where we joyfully and passionately offer care and support to persons with disabilities according to LSS. In addition to support at the residence, we also assist individuals with approved interventions under SoL in their own homes - often cycling to provide support where needed. As a support assistant with us, you will become an important part of a team where work is varied and filled with human interactions. You will support our service recipients in everything from personal care and home life to leisure activities such as having coffee at Marieberg, exercising at Friskis & Svettis, or enjoying barbecue evenings at the residence. Our focus is on participation, safety, and life enjoyment, working to ensure each individual can live as independently and meaningfully as possible. Example Work Tasks: • Responsible for finding suitable activities/tasks in consultation with participants and developing them according to their needs • Perform care tasks and certain medication management by delegation • Carry out service tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc. • Collaborate with relatives, network members, nurses, occupational therapists, and other actors like the regional authority • Regularly document in the organization's documentation system • Establish and follow up implementation plans About the Workplace Bjällbovägen 7 is a group home beautifully located in a quiet residential area in Hjärsta/Baronbacken. The group home is a villa with its own garden and outdoor area. Six service recipients aged 30-80 live here, and we also provide support to approximately five individuals living in their own homes through SoL interventions. Communication primarily occurs in sign language, and you'll become part of a committed team of twelve present, competent, and ambitious colleagues. The residence is easily accessible by bicycle and has good bus connections. Qualifications As a support assistant with us, you are personally secure and stable. You have the ability to professionally engage with service recipients by being calm, attentive, and accommodating. You collaborate well with others and interact in a sensitive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's unique needs. You must be proficient in Swedish to document according to organizational requirements. Good computer skills are also necessary. We place significant emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: • Nursing assistant education or Child and Recreation program (pedagogical/social work focus) • Excellent sign language skills • Ability to cycle Meriting Factors: • Class B driver's license • Ability to communicate in Swedish verbally and in writing with service recipients and relatives who do not know sign language • Experience with clarifying pedagogy • Experience with low-affective approach • Experience with LifeCare operational system • Experience with IBIC (individual needs-centered approach) Scope and Commencement Employment Type: Permanent 100% and 50% temporary position Number of Positions: 1-2 permanent and 1 temporary Start Date: January 2026 or by agreement Work Hours: Day, evening, and every other weekend Additional Information Before being offered employment working with persons with disabilities, you must provide a criminal record extract.
