Technical Information Specialist – Diagnostics & Service Information
Role Description
We are looking for a Technical Information Specialist who will create diagnostic-related service information that enables workshops to quickly and accurately troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair vehicles. You will ensure that the material is clear, consistent, and well-structured, and that it can be seamlessly integrated into existing diagnostic tools and platforms.
Responsibilities
• Create diagnostic-related service information for workshops, focusing on troubleshooting, calibration, and repair
• Produce clear fault code descriptions and step-by-step diagnostic guides
• Develop calibration procedures, component descriptions, and function overviews
• Write concise and consistent UI texts for diagnostic and service tools
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to support technical illustrations and visual material
• Structure, standardize, and maintain content according to established guidelines and information models
• Work in internal tools and platforms for content production, diagnostics, and version control
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product teams, and workshop experts to ensure technical accuracy
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of information workflows, templates, and processes
Requirements
• Relevant education or professional experience in Technical Communication, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or a similar field
• Strong technical interest and ability to understand complex vehicle-related systems
• Ability to write clear, structured, and user-oriented technical information in English
• Experience working with digital tools for content creation, documentation, or version control
• Structured, thorough, and quality-focused approach to work with attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
Meriting
• Experience or knowledge of using AI tools in technical writing and content production
• Experience in UX writing or front-end development
• Experience in the automotive, diagnostics, workshop tools, or similar technical domains
• Experience working with standardized information models and reusable content
• Experience working in agile teams or product-oriented development environments
Start: February 2026
Duration: Until January 31, 2028
Location: Södertälje (hybrid, 3 days/week onsite)
