About the Position
You will serve as a technical expert and mentor within a cross-functional agile team. This means you will support the development team in technical decisions and implementations, taking responsibility for defining technical standards, selecting platforms, and identifying suitable tools. You will also engage in test-driven development and test automation as a natural part of your role as a software developer, which makes this position ideal for someone who appreciates a variety of tasks.
You will work closely with your colleagues, and together, the team will be responsible for the quality of the code produced. The team strives to stay at the forefront of technology, and you will have significant autonomy while also contributing to the overall success. About You
You possess a deep understanding of the entire software lifecycle, from design to implementation. We expect you to have the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. You are passionate about technology and navigate effortlessly between tools and environments. You thrive in collaborative settings while taking significant responsibility for driving your work forward.
We are looking for someone who has:
• An academic background in IT, software, or programming, or several years of relevant work experience in similar tasks
• At least five years of experience working as a software developer
• At least three years of experience working with Java as the primary programming language
• At least three years of experience in testing and test automation as an integrated part of the code’s lifecycle management
• At least three years of experience with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
It is advantageous for the position if you have:
• Experience in front-end development using frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular
• At least three years of experience developing with Java/Jakarta EE, Quarkus, Spring Boot, or another equivalent modern Java framework for microservices
• Experience working with open-source software.

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. The position is available as soon as possible or as agreed upon. The workplace will be located in Kalmar or Stockholm. The job may involve travel, primarily between Kalmar and Stockholm.
