**About the Position**
Roslagen's Cultural School is seeking a theater and musical educator who wants to help develop both the cultural school and the cultural life in Norrtälje Municipality. The role involves broadening the teaching, both stylistically and genre-wise, as well as reaching new target groups. We are looking for a professional educator in theater and musical who can teach various groups.
Roslagen's Cultural School offers voluntary music education in traditional music instruction for instruments and ensembles, rock/pop group instruction, folk music, music production, dance, art, and theater. The cultural school's activities cover the entire municipality from Norrtälje to Hallstavik and Älmsta.
**Job Description**
The target group for the teaching is children and youth. Instruction is conducted in groups. Theater and musical are part of the focus on performing arts, which includes our subjects of art, dance, and theater. Certain aspects of the work will be carried out in close collaboration with our singing and dance educators. Teaching will take place in our facilities in Norrtälje as well as in the sports hall of Älmsta School. Workdays are Monday to Wednesday.
**Qualifications**
We expect you to have the following background:
- A university degree is required, preferably with an educational focus
- Professional level in your art form
- Good knowledge of theater and musical
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Knowledge of and preferably experience in group teaching. By group teaching, we mean explicit group methodology that focuses on the development of both the individual student and the group.
- Experience leading and being responsible for projects
- Experience working with younger children
- A valid driver's license (B) and access to a personal vehicle
**Desirable Qualifications:**
- Experience teaching singing, dance, and movement.
To thrive in this role, you should enjoy teaching students of various ages, where joy and curious creativity are prominent parts of the pedagogy. You should be able to meet the individual needs and interests of each child while also leading and developing an entire group.
As a person, you are self-driven and engaged, confident in yourself, and able to remain calm even in stressful situations. You are outgoing and possess strong social skills, enjoy order and structure, plan your work well, and work purposefully to complete tasks. You have a friendly demeanor and feel comfortable giving advice and expressing your opinions based on your expertise.

**About the Workplace**
The department consists of a total of 25 employees, most of whom work part-time. Our employees particularly appreciate the solid ensemble activities, such as wind orchestras, string orchestras, various session groups, and numerous professional development projects for staff.

Part-time temporary position, 45%. Start date January 7, 2026 - June 2026.
