About this role

At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. In total, we are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an exceptionally important job! We are now seeking team leaders for the examination activities in Gothenburg and Mölndal. With us, you will work on current social issues influenced by events in our surrounding world. Issues that engage and touch people. We offer a dynamic environment where continuous improvements and human interactions are in focus. What does a team leader do? As a team leader, you represent the employer and support the closest manager in operational management at the unit. This means distributing resources, coordinating and following up the team's daily work and regularly reporting to the unit manager. Through a coaching approach, you guide team members. You lead the team towards results and goal achievement and ensure standards are followed. You drive work to continuously improve methods and working approaches. As a team leader, you contribute to the unit having good conditions such as a developing work environment, right competence, reasonable workload, clear goals, and good planning. Who are you? You lead, motivate, and empower others to effectively achieve common goals, coordinate groups, and become a reference point for others. You are good at creating engagement and participation. You work well with people, relating to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate clearly, and resolve conflicts constructively. You ensure messages are conveyed and expectations are clear for all involved parties. You remind and follow up. Furthermore, you see holistic perspectives and consider broader contexts. You understand your role but prioritize the organization's best interests in actions and decisions. You take responsibility for your tasks. You structure your own approach and drive processes forward. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and set and maintain timelines. In our work as government officials, high demands are also placed on judgment and a strong security and confidentiality awareness.
