About Us Telia Field Operations is Telia's own technical operations unit, and our primary task is to ensure that Telia's national security customers are constantly operational, even during crisis and preparedness periods. We also work with fiber construction, switchovers, network security work, method development, network investigations, migration work, etc. Our mission also includes service, delivery, and troubleshooting of the fixed network. With us, you'll become part of a national team of skilled technicians. We currently operate in 8 areas from north to south in Sweden. Your Next Opportunity We are now seeking someone who wants to join our development journey. The position involves working both as a team leader and telecommunications technician in the field. Your working time will be divided approximately 50/50 between these roles. As a team leader, you will have personnel responsibility for the technician team in Stockholm. At the Stockholm work center, you will be responsible for local work environment, fire protection, and environmental initiatives. Furthermore, you will have revenue and cost responsibility and ensure that the team achieves billing rates, performance, and customer service and delivery precision through close and supportive leadership. As a leader, you will actively work to develop the team by contributing to skills development, work planning, recruitment of new personnel, and more. As a technician, you will perform the same tasks as others in the team, adapted to your competence. As a new employee, you will participate in our comprehensive onboarding process to provide the best possible start with us. The team's tasks include: Installation and service of security-classified networks and crypto equipment. Maintenance work, deliveries, and troubleshooting in fiber and IP networks and active equipment. Independently locating, measuring, and resolving faults in fixed networks. Inspections and measures for overvoltage protection and corrosion. Decommissioning of copper networks, including pole removal and site decommissioning. All technicians depart with a service vehicle from home and go directly to their service assignments, which they independently manage and report. The work involves free and mobile workdays with extensive travel. Since you can typically start from home, daily trips to the work center are not required. During low local workload or high pressure in other areas, work with hotel overnight stays may occur, usually for a 5-day period. We typically work longer days and then get several days off. The job thus requires occasional time away from home. The position includes standby time, and night work may also occur. Who Are You? We are seeking someone with telecommunications technician experience who wants to develop towards a leadership role. To fit the role, you need to enjoy working independently in the field while also leading and supporting others. You have a good ability to organize, structure, and plan your work independently and take significant responsibility for completing your work with high quality and on time. Experience with security requirements is meritorious. Part of the hiring process includes a background check with the police registry.
