Do you love food and are you ready for a career where people are at the center? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to enjoy a better everyday life. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh produce, and we believe in people. We think we become better when we have diverse backgrounds and experiences. Whether you are presenting freshly harvested vegetables, cutting a perfect piece of meat, ensuring the shelves are always well-stocked, or creating campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone here has one reason: to create an outstanding customer experience.
Position: Permanent employment of 35 hours per week, with a probationary period applied.
Start date: 2025-12-01 or by agreement.
Working hours: Early mornings, daytime, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the job.
We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Work Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the Fish and Deli department.
You put the finishing touch on the customer experience
You have the chance to make a significant impact on our customers' visits, which is why you have an important mission to make the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This can involve a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude to guide the customer in the store. You should ensure that the customer leaves satisfied – ideally with an extra item in their bag and a good feeling!
What will you do?
Every day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks will include:
• Ensuring that the daily operations on the shop floor run smoothly by leading and distributing the work.
• Being a role model in customer interactions and inspiring colleagues to ensure our customers leave the store feeling they have experienced world-class service.
• Together with the Sales Manager, being responsible for planning, following up, and developing the work in the department.
• Working to coordinate resources and ensuring that skills are utilized effectively to achieve set goals.
• Contributing to providing our customers with a fresh and inviting fish and deli department.
• Collaborating with colleagues throughout the store – we are a team and help wherever needed!
You will report to the Fresh Produce Sales Manager, who has personnel responsibility for the department.
Who are you?
You are a natural problem solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment. A friendly greeting and a desire to inspire and develop others is second nature to you. Do you have a strong interest in fresh produce and selling goods? Great! Do you have previous leadership experience – even better!
We believe you:
• Have a high school education and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since our customers speak multiple languages, it would be fantastic if you do too.
• Have a couple of years of previous experience working in a store in the Fish/Deli area.
• Previous experience in leadership, store economics, and sales is an advantage.
• Previous training in the field or being a trained chef/caterer is a plus.
• Love meeting customers and believe that service should be genuine and engaging.
