Your role with us
The role of team leader involves close management and case guidance for caseworkers on individual matters as well as onboarding new employees. As a team leader in foster care, you will be responsible for distributing cases to the caseworkers and making decisions in accordance with the applicable delegation order. You will oversee the presentation of cases in FR/KR negotiations and facilitate the transfer of assistance through the operational system Lifecare.
As a team leader with us, you will utilize your extensive knowledge in the area of responsibility, relevant legislation, by ensuring that routines and legal security are maintained. In your role, you will act as the employer's representative and assist the unit manager in employee and salary discussions. You will also be part of the unit's management team and participate in method development within the unit.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate has a degree in social work and training in BBIC. Additional qualifications in leadership training and Signs of Safety would be advantageous. We require at least three years of experience in the social services' authority work with children and youth, as well as knowledge of current legislation and general recommendations. Experience in foster care is a plus. You should have a valid driver's license (B category) to easily navigate our municipality when necessary.
It is important to us that you have a coaching approach with the ability to lead and motivate employees to achieve common goals. We also want you to be a skilled communicator and a good collaborator. Attributes such as the ability to take action, make decisions, and initiate processes are essential for the role. As a team leader, you will often manage multiple processes simultaneously, so being organized and able to plan your work effectively is crucial.
