Your New Job As a team leader, you will lead, staff, and distribute daily work in consultation with your immediate supervisor and work team. You are an excellent representative of Jönköping Municipality and swimming facilities, demonstrating through your actions how you want colleagues to act and having the courage to follow up and provide feedback. Together with your immediate supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring swimming facilities are resource-efficiently managed and offer citizens high-quality service and professional treatment. We deliver services at the right time, with the right content, in a way that creates citizen value. In your team leader role, you will also: - Create conditions for employees to achieve set goals - Work on development, follow-up, and support for the operation - Lead facility-specific meetings - Participate in implementing and following up on decisions - Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new employees - Work directly in the facility Your Competence We are seeking a new colleague with a completed high school education and at least five years of professional experience in swimming facilities, service, or youth activities, plus several years of leadership experience. To succeed in the role, it is important that you are a structured person with personal maturity who enjoys leading, creating relationships, and collaborating. You should have a holistic view of the operation and be loyal. You see digital tools as an integral part of your assignment and communicate effectively in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. - You will be trained as a swimming instructor if you do not already possess that skill Preferred Qualifications Swimming proficiency is always required, and we demand a passed diving and lifesaving test regardless of employment. We also place significant emphasis on personal suitability: - Training in swimming and aquatic activities, such as pool lifeguard, swim instructor, group fitness instructor - Experience/training in children and youth activities - Additional language skills beyond Swedish Welcome to Us Swimming Jönköping consists of approximately 40 employees who collectively operate 6 swimming facilities. Your workplace will be located at Norrahammars Sports Center and/or City Harbor Swimming Pool. Important to Know This is a full-time, permanent position including morning, evening, and weekend shifts. A probationary period may be applied. - Work trials may be conducted before potential employment - We work in a warm, humid, and occasionally noisy environment - Many tasks are physically and mentally demanding Criminal Record Check: To work with children and youth, we require an approved police criminal record extract.
