About this role
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all stages of life. We make each other better.
Home Care
Region Gotland offers its citizens the freedom of choice within home care (LOV), where the home care service of Region Gotland is the largest provider and is part of the social administration.
We have an important and rewarding mission to provide support to people in their homes and daily lives. The department is an efficient and competitive service organization with professional employees in continuous development. Our core values are participation, trust, and care.
We are now looking for a flexible team leader who can support our operations and take on assignments where there is the greatest need. This position is a one-year temporary contract.
Your Responsibilities
The team leader role has been introduced to strengthen quality and leadership in home care.
We offer a stimulating and varied job. Your responsibilities span several areas: work management and coordination, planning and staffing, contacts and collaboration, as well as administration. As a team leader, you will lead the daily operations and ensure that staffing is appropriate in relation to the services approved for users, focusing on economically and health-wise sustainable staffing. You will have contact and collaboration points both within and outside your organization, including with users and their relatives, healthcare providers, and case managers.
You will be responsible for receiving and planning the initiation of new and changed assignments. You will handle employment and authorization administration, purchasing, invoice management, meeting administration, and other administrative tasks. You will be an important support to the unit manager, and together you will plan joint activities, follow up on operations against set goals, and drive development work. Your task will also include coordinating and administering certain unit-wide initiatives, such as training and surveys. The work will take place during daytime hours.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with a high school diploma, preferably with an administrative focus or from a health and care program. If you also have a university degree in social work, leadership, or another relevant field, we consider that an asset. A B driver's license is required for the position, and it is advantageous if you have access to your own car, as the job involves travel between different locations.
As a mobile team leader, you thrive on variety and can quickly adapt to new environments – one day you might work in Fårösund, the next in Hemse. You are someone who enjoys juggling multiple tasks and sees opportunities where others see challenges.
You have experience in work management, staffing, and scheduling, preferably combined with work in planning or logistics. You are accustomed to taking responsibility, working independently, and finding solutions even when circumstances change. Proficiency in computers and knowledge of the Office suite is essential. Experience with Treserva and home care is a plus.
As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented. You find it easy to take the lead and enjoy inspiring and supporting others. Since the operations can change rapidly, you need to be able to rethink, prioritize, and act with good judgment.
You will meet many people in your role, so it is important that you possess good communication and pedagogical skills, and that you express yourself clearly and professionally – both verbally and in writing.
Welcome with your application!
