We are all different. And that's wonderful! We don’t hire people based on a specific template but rather on who you are. For us, drive and personality are more important than experience and background. We are doing well and growing rapidly. Now we are looking for more cheerful employees with the right attitude and a desire to develop!
About the job
Position: Permanent, full-time employment. A probationary period applies.
Start date: As agreed.
Working hours: You will alternate between early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements: Secondary education, good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written). We welcome applicants of all ages, but referring to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2 chapter 8 and appendix 2, we do not hire individuals under 18 years of age due to the nature of the tasks. You need to have prior experience in leadership roles, preferably in retail.
As a Team Leader at Willys, you play a very important role in the development of the store and the store team, and in the effort to offer our customers good and sustainable food at great prices!
Here’s a bit more about the role:
• You will be part of the store's management team, reporting directly to the Store Manager, and you will lead and plan operations within the Grocery Team. Of course, you will actively participate in the daily operational tasks in the store – expect to have many steps on your pedometer!
• You will work purposefully to develop the store's sales, profitability, and other key performance indicators. You will also participate in creating and following up on the store's business plan.
• As Team Leader for Grocery, you will be responsible for a very important part of the store's product flow. Your team is responsible for sales planning, placing orders, and ensuring that the store is appealing and seasonally relevant.
• You have personnel responsibility for the employees in the grocery team, which includes recruitment, scheduling, and onboarding.
• You lead, motivate, and develop your team, contributing to the employees reaching their full potential.
• You are a role model in welcoming all our customers and meeting them with knowledge, intuition, and a big smile.
About us
Not everyone fits to work with us. But many find it enjoyable! For us, the right attitude and a willingness to grow are more important than experience and education. With us, you will work with a team of great personalities from various backgrounds, skills, and perspectives.
A little more about us:
• There are clear routines and structures in place, which frees up time for you to focus on developing your team and department.
• You will be offered many opportunities to grow and develop in your leadership role. The majority of our Store Managers once worked as Team Leaders.
• Willys is one of the industry's most successful companies and we continue to grow. And as we grow, you can too – within your own area of responsibility or in others, in-store, in logistics, or in the office.
• Willys is also part of the Axfood family, a group with a range of different companies and operations, offering many different career paths and development opportunities. Through Axfood Academy, we can offer our employees a variety of training programs.

About you
You love food, people, and sales just as much as we do! For us, it doesn’t matter if you are a vegan or a meat enthusiast, eat tacos on a Friday or a Tuesday. The great thing about you is that you are you. And that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
• You are driven to inspire and engage your employees, skilled at creating a positive work atmosphere, and continuously developing your team.
• You thrive in results-oriented environments where the pace is high, you have strong personal drive, good problem-solving skills, and you don’t shy away from making decisions when necessary.
• You have good knowledge of store operations and are accustomed to leading and collaborating within a team.
• You have high ambitions, are meticulous, and possess a very high level of structure and planning.
• You enjoy challenges and see opportunities instead of difficulties in a daily routine that often presents varying conditions and unforeseen events.
• You like people, put customer needs first, and are good at getting others on board – both customers and employees.
• You are effective in communication and can, through feedback and coaching, develop your team and your store.
• You need prior experience in leadership roles within a service profession, and experience in grocery retail is a clear advantage.
