About this role
Do you want to take the next step in your technical career while contributing to the development of advanced electronics for some of the world's most high-tech ground systems? At BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik, you will have the opportunity to combine technology, leadership, and innovation – in a role where you can make a real difference.
Your Future Challenge
We are currently in an intense phase with many parallel projects, which means a fast-paced environment and exciting technical challenges. To meet the demand, we are now strengthening our electronics development department with a team leader. Depending on your background, we have the flexibility to tailor the role to your preferences and career development goals.
About the Role
As Team Leader for Electronics, you will work within the Vetronics section, specifically in the Hardware division, which includes the electronics, electrical systems, electromechanics, and firmware groups. You will lead a skilled team that develops, maintains, and documents the electronics for the next generation of combat vehicles – from concept to the vehicle rolling out to the customer.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring development work throughout the product lifecycle, including:
- Planning and monitoring the project group's members and deliverables, such as circuit board development from prototype to field deployment
- Coordinating with other groups within the section to ensure a cohesive vetronics delivery within the projects
- Leading fault investigations
- System design with safety-critical functions (ISO26262)
- Analog and digital design
- Testing and commissioning
We work with modern development tools such as Azure DevOps, Altium Designer, Libero SoC, and SimuLink.
You will have many points of contact within the company, which means close collaboration with colleagues from various disciplines such as software development, system design, mechanics, and production. The role requires you to communicate effectively across departmental boundaries and contribute to an integrated development flow.
In addition to internal collaborations, you will also engage with external suppliers and customers, both nationally and internationally. This means that you will sometimes represent the team in technical discussions, requirements setting, and follow-ups – which demands both technical understanding and professional communication.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who has:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electronics, software, automation, or equivalent
- Experience in technical project management or team leadership
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- The ability to adapt to changes and contribute creative problem-solving
- A positive outlook and a genuine interest in technology
Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of ISO26262
- Experience from the defense, automotive, or industrial sectors
- Familiarity with military standards and requirements
What You Will Be Part Of
