International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication among the staff is English. Social Studies Teacher for International English School Huddinge International English School in Huddinge opened in 2013 and has around 500 students in grades 6-9. The school is located between VisĂ€ttra and SolgĂ„rd in Huddinge municipality, an area undergoing significant transformation into a dynamic work and residential area! IES takes pride in its employees and has developed a method to create a calm and secure school environment. This allows our teachers to spend more time sharing their knowledge, both with students and colleagues. Your own teaching as an educator from Sweden will be in Swedish, but we communicate in English among colleagues. We are now looking for a certified Social Studies teacher for grades 6-9 to start during the upcoming term. Instruction in Social Studies is conducted in Swedish and follows the Swedish curriculum LGR22. The job description includes, in addition to common teacher duties such as planning, teaching, grading, and follow-up, also mentoring students in one of the classes you teach. You need to be available for meetings with guardians, students, and colleagues, and actively work to uphold IES's values and vision. Our focus is on learning and maintaining a calm environment where the school's routines and rules are followed by both students and staff.
