Your New Role
We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a 6-month consulting assignment with potential extension. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax and VAT returns across several countries. You will also handle tax-related reporting, support month-end closing activities, communicate with authorities and auditors, and provide expertise on tax and transfer pricing matters. This is an opportunity to work in a highly professional, international environment with exposure to complex tax regulations within the financial industry.
You will:
- Prepare and submit income tax and VAT returns in multiple countries
- Review tax and VAT returns and ensure compliance with local regulations
- Handle reporting of tax-related areas for Group financial statements and annual reporting
- Prepare accounting entries for tax transactions and support monthly closings, including deferred tax
- Communicate with tax authorities and external advisors across four countries
- Support external audits and respond to tax-related inquiries
- Execute tax and VAT payments to authorities
- Perform VAT controls for incoming and outgoing invoices
- Drive investigations related to VAT, transfer pricing, and specific tax matters

To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Academic degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within tax and VAT, ideally with an international group or large consulting firm
• Strong knowledge of Swedish corporate income tax, VAT, and transfer pricing regulations; experience within the financial sector is a significant advantage
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, consolidated reporting standards, and the ability to interpret financial statements
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively internally and externally
• A detail-oriented and analytical mindset, combined with a proactive and solution-driven work style
