The Department of Odontology is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy, conducting education and research in the dental field. Each year, 93 dentists, 32 dental hygienists, 20 dental technicians, 20 KUT dentists, and a number of doctoral students graduate.
The operations are conducted at 13 departments and in close collaboration with other institutions within the Sahlgrenska Academy and Public Dental Health in Västra Götaland. The department has approximately 110 employees.
**Job Responsibilities**
The responsibilities mainly consist of demonstrations, practical and theoretical teaching, teaching administration, and the preparation of demonstration and work materials for basic level education in the dental technician program.
The teaching focuses on fixed and removable prosthetics as well as bite splints, primarily utilizing digital production processes.
**Qualifications**
The applicant should hold a dental technician degree and have extensive experience in the dental technician profession.
Experience in digital fabrication, such as dental design in CAD, and handling CAM processes is essential, as well as experience in porcelain work which is advantageous.
Previous experience in teaching within dental education is a plus.
The role requires excellent communication skills, as it involves numerous meetings, both verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.
Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.

The position is a temporary contract until June 30, 2026, at 100% capacity, with start date negotiable.
