Folktandvården Västerbotten encompasses general dentistry, specialist dentistry in all specialties, participation in clinical training for dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, and dental technicians, as well as dental technical services. We are responsible for all children's dental care and specialist dentistry, as well as half of adult dental care. We offer well-equipped clinics and are at the forefront of research and development through our close collaboration with the Department of Dentistry at Umeå University.
Within the Specialist Dentistry base unit, there are Orthodontics and Pedodontics departments. We have close cooperation between departments, which means that service may be relevant in both specialties. The base unit also includes an Odontological Knowledge Center for small and lesser-known disability groups, Jaw Orthopedics/LKG where children with lip, jaw, or palate clefts are treated, and a sleep apnea clinic that provides investigation and treatment for patients needing sleep splints.
Pedodontics is tasked with serving as a referral and treatment center for cases requiring specialist dental knowledge and resources. We are also responsible for inpatient children and youth at NUS and anesthesia dentistry for children and youth.
Our mandate also includes further education, supervision, specialist training for dentists, etc. We collaborate with the Odontological Institute at Umeå University in basic and advanced training, as well as research and development work.
We are now seeking a dental nurse to join our exciting Pedodontics specialist dentistry team. Our team includes senior dentists, dental nurses, and a dental hygienist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a dental nurse with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that helps people feel secure.
You will have a varied job assisting specialist dentists and specialist training dentists during all types of treatments. In addition to assisting our dentists, you will be involved in supervising dental and dental nurse students. Sterilization work and reception duties are also part of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a candidate with a dental nurse certification.
As a person, you are flexible, easy to collaborate with, and have great commitment and interest in children's and youth dental care. You consider patient care and service a natural part of the work. You are proactive and comfortable assisting, working independently, and managing fast-paced workdays.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
