Public Dental Care encompasses a wide range of competence areas. We offer both general and specialized dental care, and we also participate in the clinical training of dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, and dental technicians. We work in modern and well-equipped facilities located in several places throughout the county. We are now seeking dental nurses for Public Dental Care in Umedalen, Teg, and Idun in Umeå, as well as Holmsund. Please indicate in your application which clinic you are most interested in. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a dental nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. You will have a fun and varied job and will be part of a work team together with dentists and dental hygienists. The work primarily involves assisting practitioners and performing independent patient work such as informing and instructing patients, reception and sterilization work, and administrative tasks. If you are a recent graduate, you will receive introduction and guidance to help you develop and grow in your professional role. We are proud of the collaboration between our clinics, and working at one or more workplaces within the base unit may be possible. We are also responsible for staffing the Dental Emergency Clinic at Norrland University Hospital (NUS) together with other Public Dental Care clinics in the Umeå region. Work may also occur outside the clinic, for example, in collaboration with Health Center, school, or elderly care. We use digital booking, 1177, the T4 journal system, and the Tele-Q communication solution. As a dental nurse with us, you contribute structure and security for both patients and the team. QUALIFICATIONS For this job, you need to be a trained dental nurse with interest and commitment to quality-oriented dental care for children and adults. We prefer candidates with several years of experience and the ability to independently perform prophylaxis and investigate and analyze intervention needs, which means having knowledge and understanding of oral health's importance for individual well-being and health, as well as the impact of general health conditions. As a person, you are flexible, communicate easily, have good ability to organize and prioritize work, and find care and service a natural part of the job. You are attentive to your surroundings and can adapt your approach based on whom you are meeting and what the situation requires. You work well with others and want to contribute to developments that lead to improved work methods. We value good communication skills and a positive approach. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience with teamwork is meritorious, and we appreciate knowledge of the T4 journal system, 1177, and Tele-Q.
